Married Metals Pendant

Saturday - January 19th (9:30-4:30)

In this one-day class, students will learn the techniques needed to create solder inlay in copper sheet. Students will be able to choose the shape of their pendant and will design a unique inlay pattern in order to create their own one of a kind piece.  Students will be soldering, sawing, riveting and learning tips about layout and design.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED TO TAKE THIS CLASS
No need to be an expert but prior experience with soldering, sawing and/or riveting is needed.

NOTHING TO BUY BEFORE CLASS!

Use of all hand and studio tools and equipment as well as the materials needed to make One Pendant are included in the class price.  The Chain for the Pendant is not provided, but we have beautiful sterling chains available for sale in the store.

Small Class Size – Lots of Individual Attention – REGISTER NOW!!

Wear comfortable “work” clothes, with full shoes, all hair tied back, and no scarves or sleeves that could present a hazard.

Car: FREE off street parking for students

Walking:  Short walk from the Sapperton Skytrain station

Waiver and Cancellation Policy

I understand that participating in Classes or working on my own jewellery during “Open Studio” time in the Workingsilver Studio will require me to engage in activities that are inherently hazardous and potentially harmful.

I understand that I will be making use of hand tools (such as hammers), power tools (such as rotary tools and drill press), sharp instruments (such as knives and saws), torches (acetylene and/or butane), toxic materials and chemicals (including acids) and extreme heat, which will expose me to the risk of damage to my clothing or my belongings and to the risk of personal injury or disability.  I acknowledge that such risks are always present in the studio and cannot be eliminated.

I am fully aware of the risks, and I assume them voluntarily.

I will be personally responsible for utilizing all tools, implements, materials and chemicals in a safe and proper manner.

I understand that Workingsilver does not provide liability insurance for my protection.

I hereby release Workingsilver, my instructor and all persons associated with Workingsilver from any and all claims or liability for loss or damage, death, personal injury or property damage of any kind whosoever caused, including any claim or liability arising from the negligence of Workingsilver, my instructor or any person on the studio/store premises, arising out of, or in the course of, my participation in the studio or any activity in connection therewith or howsoever resulting from my being on the studio/store premises.

I hereby waive any and all claims I may have in the future against Workingsilver, my instructor or any person associated with Workingsilver.

For good and valuable consideration, I am delivering this release and waiver to Workingsilver with the knowledge and intent that it will be binding upon me.
