In this one evening class, students will not only learn how to make a mala, but will also discover the origins of these lovely prayer beads. We will discuss the the significance of each aspect of a mala as well as the different materials used for them, both traditional and modern. You will learn how to hand-knot in between the beads and how to finish your piece properly to produce a durable, beautiful mala that you can use and/or wear for many years.
This class is taught by Laurie Emerslund (the Beadist!) (see Instructor’s page for Bio).
