RHODOCHROSITE

This gem quality, round rhodochrosite cabochon features a rich pink color with only a few inclusions and no ribboning. Use it alone as a centerpiece for pendants or pair it with complementary-color stones to create a more complex necklace, brooch, or earrings. Rhodochrosite is ideal for jewelry subject to less wear and tear—it is a relatively soft stone and must be treated with care to avoid damage.

Sometimes called Inca Rose, rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral made up of rhombohedral crystals. The stone features a milky matrix in a soft rose colour and has a lustrous shimmering finish. The milky inclusions vary, making each stone unique.
