Larimar

Larimar, oh lovely larimar. If you’ve ever snorkelled in crystal clear waters with white sandy beaches, that is what larimar looks like. It is the Caribbean ocean solidified. Its rather fitting as this cool blue stone is only found in one location in the world, a mountainous, relatively inaccessible area in the province of Barahona in the Dominican Republic. Its name comes from the combination of the discoverers daughter’s name, Larisa and the Spanish word for sea, which is Mer.

Enjoy this eye candy featuring the only stone in the world that looks like sunlight glimmering through water!

At Workingsilver we try to have a few of these lovies in stock, but they don’t last long.  Come into the store and check them out!
