WorkingSilver Studio Show and Sale – May 2015

Here at WorkingSilver, we have really amazing students. No really, we love each and every one. Our teaching studio is the beating heart of our business; the energy and excitement in each class is something quite special. We have taught everyone from absolute beginners to established jewellers and we believe in nurturing our students to do their best work.

One major hurtle that many jewellers face when starting out is finding the best platform from which to sell their creations. Getting accepted and paying to be in an artisan market or craft fair can be a daunting experience that many need time to work towards. This is one of the reasons why we have decided to do something a little different here at WorkingSilver. Twice a year we will be showcasing our students’ work in a jewellery show and sale. This will provide a wonderful opportunity for those just starting out to show and/or sell some of their work without the commitment of filling up a large space with jewelry, or paying a large fee for an artisan market or craft fair. We will provide a small area for each student to display their creations. Without the pressure of creating an entire collection or lots of stock, our students can display their work with the option of selling their pieces, as well as getting feedback from friends, family and the public. Our goal is to create a fun event showcasing our students’ work.

Our first semi-annual show and sale is happening on May 2&3, and we still have room for a couple more students to participate. We have postcards in the store, which can be given to friends and family as well as ads going into local papers and on social media.
